Where to Eat:  Many options from within a short walk – you will need to ask for specific directions as I am not familiar with the streets, but I am very familiar with the food!

Michocana's - a couple locations, one at the plaza and another across from Yapur Photo.  The horchata agua is a must.

Dona Mary -  Amazing Pozzuoli soup – near Hidalgo St. the ‘other plaza’

Con Kwyz – cheese Queso’s – bean soup – two types of thinly sliced beef – order fajitas for leaner meat.  Hamburgers!  near Hidalgo St.

Ya Abrimaos: Restaurant is on the left as you head out of town towards El Limon. Great fajitas.

Aqui estamos ahora – also known as “mummies” – but delicious SOPA’s La Migadas Guera: Good breakfast place across from Soriana – look for the sign

La Boca Toma III:  Restaurant in El Limon on the Rio Frio. Wonderful seafood.  Amazing View from atop onto a wonderful River – Just outside of Limon on way to El Campestre: Often they have an amazing Seafood Buffet but if not they have a great menu selection  - For a few more dollars, bring your swimsuits and choose between 3 beautiful swimming pools! 

Super Mariscos: Excellent seafood, 2 locations downtown.

Modelo Gonzalez – a Cafeteria with anything food – great breads, tacos it’s the GO TO Place for whoever wants to ‘chat’ in Mante!  Wonderful Family owned place, extremely helpful and open early and late – located on the way to Soriano across from the new

BODEGA – (Walmart!) Latina: Very good carne asada

Tina I or Tina II -  Beef Shikabob –bean soup – only beef here!

Las Generales II – on the road towards Limon – Very nice Great Carne Asada

La Fogata – GREAT Food

Super Cream on the main street from Hotel Monterey – Amazing deserts!

Aranda’s  – across from Hotel Monterey – always good and Chinese buffets around 2:00 p.m.

Pescados y Mariscos – Seafood – chicken – beef (a little pricey but excellent food)! Special is Seafood – bring out fresh and you choose off the platter!

Papas Paranos – Here you get a HUGE BAKED Potato with ALL the Fixings a Feast!
