BORDER – IMMIGRATIONS - What to expect….
First of ALL…. When you go thru Immigration you will receive a STUB of a paper when going into the Country … YOU MUST KEEP THAT little paper as it is your ‘ticket’ out of the country and will cause major amounts of issues if you loose it or miss place it! Take this very seriously!
When arriving into Mexico you will be asked to collect your bag, take them thru another scanner and retrieve them at the other end. You will then push a Stop light button – Green is good, you may pass – Red is Stop and open all your bags for inspection. Mostly it’s just feeling thru the bags and if your in the large group you’ll have some extra support from any medical supplies your carrying in. At this point you’ll pass thru and collect ALL your belongings (go the bathroom the bus has one but it’s not as pleasant) and walk to the Charter Buses.
EAT something before you leave for MEXICO as there are no restaurants open when arriving late in Tampico and no food services near especially when going on the 2 hours bus to Mante! It’s straight thru.
